Do you teach? yes

What do you teach? I have collaborated with the National Arts Centre of Canada and conductor, Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser to create a Reggae Roots Educational Program for youth, in which I contributed as the featured artist, associate artistic director and lead author of the pedagogical guide. The program has six modules in which schools can register for free to view the video on-demand learning series. I currently administer this program live in schools and through student organizations and music education initiatives across Canada.

AFM Local 571 acknowledges that our office is located on the traditional land of the Mi’kmaq Nation. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources but in fact, recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was going to be an ongoing relationship.
